Diana & Christian – St Luke’s Chapel, Charleston – March 2018

I love elopements. There’s something about the simplicity that allows all the focus to be on love and vows of togetherness, rather than all the other stuff. I love that too, don’t get me wrong, but these small, intimate affairs hold a special place in my heart.

Di and Christian were my first wedding of the 2018 season, and I am so glad they invited me to be part of it. Christian’s mother and father traveled all the way over from Germany (their first time to the USA!) for the ceremony, so Di and Christian had to get everything coordinated very quickly. Their ceremony was at St Luke’s Chapel, and they had the perfect string ensemble playing during their processional and recessional. It was romantic, intimate, and beautiful.
