Colleen + Kevin | Summertime Surprise Proposal at Middleton Place

When it comes to proposals (especially the ones I get to capture!) I am obsessed…and when Kevin reached out to me with is vision for the perfect proposal on the lawn at Middleton Place I couldn’t wait!

Kevin started the plan of proposing to his beautiful girlfriend Colleen / capturing the moment months ahead of time – but then just TWO DAYS beforehand ran into a crazy speed bump with the booking company. (You’ll have to ask him the details, but needless to say it was intense!) Thankfully another fellow Charleston photographer reached out to me about it and connected us.

Queue the perfect Charleston summer day. (if you’re not familiar with Charleston this means sunny and hot). Kevin and I had a signal planned, and I waited in “the spot” pretending to take photos of the flowers and trees. He and Colleen strolled up and along the path to look over the river, he spun her for a selfie, and then dropped down to one knee. Y’all. I’m not an emotional person but EVERY TIME I photograph a proposal I get goosebumps! Theirs was perfect.
