A Downtown Charleston Anniversary Session | Ben & Hudson
Some sessions feel less like work and more like wandering around the city with new friends. Ben and Hudson’s anniversary session in Charleston was exactly that.
We met early on a December morning and spent the session exploring the historic part of downtown together. Mornings are one of my favorite times to photograph in Charleston – the streets are quieter, the light is soft, and you can actually enjoy wandering through the city without fighting crowds.
Exploring Historic Downtown Charleston
From the start, Ben and Hudson were completely laid back and up for anything. Those are always the best kinds of sessions. Instead of worrying about posing or doing things perfectly, they just leaned into the experience – walking, laughing, and enjoying the morning together.
The two of them travel often and clearly love exploring new places together, so wandering through the historic streets of Charleston felt like a natural fit. We moved through a few different spots, stopping when the light was good or when something interesting caught our attention.
A Relaxed Anniversary Session in Charleston
My daughter was along for the morning too, as usual, tucked into her carrier like the little assistant she is. Ben and Hudson might have liked her even more than me, but I suppose that’s fair – she’s pretty cool.
Ben and Hudson brought such an easy energy to the morning. Relaxed, connected, and happy just being together – which is exactly what anniversary sessions should be about.
