There’s nothing quite like stepping into a family’s home during those first few days with a new baby. The house feels a little quieter, a little softer—full of that brand-new love that changes everything. This sweet Charleston family welcomed me into their home when their little girl was just a week old, and it was such an honor to capture this special chapter for them.
We spent most of our time in the nursery they lovingly prepared—a beautiful, peaceful space filled with soft, neutral colors and little details that made it feel so personal. The light streaming through the windows was perfect, and the slower pace of an in-home session let us capture everything in a way that felt natural, relaxed, and real.
One of my favorite parts of this session? Their dog, who immediately stole my heart. He quietly joined us, keeping a watchful eye on his new baby sister and even curling up by the crib while she rested. It was the sweetest reminder that pets are such an important part of the family story, too.
