“Sometimes the littlest things take up the most room in your heart.”
— Winnie the Pooh
As a mom myself, I know the importance of documenting every moment of your child's life. These moments are fleeting (even though they don't always feel that way in the moment). As a Charleston newborn photographer I adore these sweet little moments, whether your baby decides to be sleepy or wide awake - I can't wait to capture their little personality.
My newborn sessions are designed to be simple, sweet, and capture this sweet moment in time for your family. You just brought a little life into the world, so I make the experience easy. My Charleston lifestyle newborn sessions are:
1. At home or on-location
2. Simple and relaxed
3. Full service - from session styling to hanging artwork and designing baby's first-year album, I've got you.
When is the best time to schedule my newborn photos?
I recommend scheduling newborn photos for one to three weeks after you bring baby home. This timeframe usually means baby will still be sleepy, but also it gives you at least a week to recover from birth.
Do I have to have my newborn photos at home? Or can I have downtown Charleston newborn photos?
You may schedule your newborn photography session to be an in-home lifestyle session, or you can schedule it on-location anywhere in Charleston!
How do I find a newborn photographer near me in Charleston?
Kelsey Halm Photography is a newborn photographer based out of Charleston, South Carolina. We serve the Charleston area, but also love to travel! If you are looking for a newborn photographer in Charleston, reach out! We'd love to chat.
What should my baby wear for the newborn photoshoot?
Part of my luxury newborn photography experience includes styling direction for both baby and parents, but I always suggest simple, soft outfits and swaddles.
If you have a special outfit for baby let me know, and we will include it in your newborn photo session.
Can the whole family be included in the newborn photos?
Yes! Your whole immediate family is welcome to take part in photos. If there are older siblings I generally take these photos first.
If you want to include extended family please reach out so we can discuss session options.
What if baby is fussy during the session?
We plan for a relaxed, baby's-pace session so that we have plenty of space for soothing and feeding baby if needed. I also provide tips in advance to ensure we give baby the best preparation for a happy, sleepy photo session.
