If you’ve been around for awhile you know I love unique engagement sessions that truly capture your essence as a couple – so this one is absolutely a favorite of mine! Are you looking for a truly unique way to capture the essence of your love story? Imagine exchanging tender glances amidst the vibrant blooms of an organic flower farm, the sweet scent of blossoms filling the air as you create beautiful portraits together. Today I’m sharing a romantic engagement session at a local organic flower farm, keep your eyes open for K’s gorgeous bespoke bouquet!
Traditional engagement sessions have their charm, but if you want a unique and intimate experience, an engagement session on an organic flower farm might be the perfect fit. I’m a flower lover so I’m definitely biased, but in my opinion flower farms offer a picturesque and romantic setting that perfectly complements the love you share. The greenery, vibrant flowers, and serene ambiance create a unique backdrop that adds depth and meaning to your engagement photos.
Many couples choose to have their engagement session in a pretty place, maybe the downtown of their city, or a beach, etc, but there are other options out there for sure. In this instance, K & J embraced the the farm’s natural beauty for their session. From the beautiful front porch, the seaside swing, and the beautiful gardens, every corner of the farm offers an opportunity to capture your love in its purest form.
Just as each love story is one-of-a-kind, so too should be the bouquet you hold. Organic flower farms allow you to handpick the blooms that resonate with your relationship, ensuring your bouquet is a true reflection of your journey together.
The amazing owner of this farm actually creates gorgeous bespoke bouquets, and made one for us for K+J’s session.
Opting for seasonal and locally grown flowers for your engagement bouquet offers a host of benefits that shipped flowers simply can’t match:
When selecting flowers for your engagement session, consider the depth, authenticity, and visual allure that come with choosing blooms grown close to home.
Gone are the days of stiff and posed photos. Thankfully. Personally I think an engagement session should be a reflection of your relationship, so capturing the authentic moments you share while interacting is FAR better than a posed portrait. The whole purpose of your engagement photos is to share your story, and capture this moment in your journey together.
An organic flower farm is more than just a backdrop; it’s a symbol of growth, nurturing, and blossoming love—a representation of the beautiful journey you’re about to embark upon as a couple. Maybe this is a little woo-woo, but I love it.
Opt for outfits that harmonize with the farm’s surroundings. Soft pastels, flowing dresses, and relaxed attire all contribute to a seamless integration of your love story with nature’s canvas. I’m still in love with K’s choice of a watercolor floral dress.
An engagement session on an organic flower farm offers the chance to escape the mundane and embrace the outdoors—a breath of fresh air that rejuvenates both your senses and your relationship. If you love the outdoors but aren’t necessarily looking for a hiking adventure then a venue like this might be the perfect choice for you.
An engagement session on an organic flower farm is an exquisite way to celebrate your love and create stunning memories. With its natural beauty, vibrant blooms, and romantic ambiance, the farm sets the stage for a truly enchanting experience. Remember my Secret Garden obsession? You’re welcome, I hope you’re obsessed now too.
A: Research various farms and gardens in your area, visit them if possible, and choose one that resonates with your style and vision. Make sure and speak with the owners for rules and permissions for holding your engagement session on their property.
A: Opt for attire that complements the natural surroundings, such as soft colors, flowy dresses, and comfortable yet stylish outfits. Think about your shoes, too. Heels look fabulous, but maybe bring an alternative as well so you’re not sinking into the dirt in the garden beds.
A: Maybe. Each farm will have their own rules in regards to animals in attendance. As always, if you choose to bring a pet (and it’s allowed by the property) I always suggest bringing a friend to handle them when they’re not in the photo.
A: Work with your photographer to brainstorm creative ideas that reflect your journey, such as recreating your first date or highlighting shared hobbies. As always, make sure your choices reflect things you actually like as a couple, not just something someone else did.
