The intention and vision behind this celebratory editorial was to showcase a bold love and an intimate wedding weekend. Choosing to keep a wedding celebration intimate forces couples to be intentional, and choose people who truly love and support them. We want to share this style of wedding so more couples feel the freedom to be intentional and create a day that truly reflects them.
I partnered with designer and planner Baylye Burnette Events & Design who created the amazing plan and design for our colorful, Cuban-inspired editorial. She took my original idea and transformed it into the beautiful editorial featured here. Who said weddings have to have a neutral color-scheme to be elegant?!
Trent and Jamil are an active, vibrant couple, and we were thrilled when they loved our vision and wanted to be featured. Their own wedding (in February of 2022) was intimate with less than 30 people, so this whole concept was something they already love! The story of this wedding weekend follows the grooms through their morning of relaxing together with coffee, then getting ready together prior to their intimate ceremony and reception
After the reception they invited their guests to their “after-party” enjoying the great nightlife Tampa’s historic Ybor City has to offer, and then again explored historic Ybor during the day. Hotel Haya was the perfect backdrop for the soiree with their funky and eclectic design and historic building and great Cuban-inspired menu.
